Our Story

In 2016, Natalia Bishop founded Story as a 1,500 sqft shared studio for photographers. That shared space quickly became a gathering spot for creatives and freelancers looking for community and a place to get work done. One Ikea trip later, the second iteration of Story was under way; this time in the NULU neighborhood with a new mission to include an entire ecosystem of doers. In 2017, we added 12,000 sqft at The Center By SIDIS building with the sole purpose of supporting entrepreneurs through their journey. Through a whirlwind entrepreneurial journey of our own, Story stands as one of the most welcoming, inclusive, and innovative communities in Louisville.

Story is more than a beautifully-designed physical space. We are a community dedicated to innovation, inspiration, and possibility.

We are in business to help people rise, connect, create community, have fun, encourage, support, and serve. We do this for the underdog, for future generations, for Louisville. We do this because we love people, because we are grateful, because it’s our legacy and it’s fun. We do it so that we can make a meaningful impact, share and set examples based on values, spread courage, operate out of love, passion, and joy.
